Dimitris Polymatidis has more than 20 years working experience as Business Development Manager in the field of STEM Education.
He has much experience in working on a broad range of Global Education Programmes (e.g. F1 in Schools, 4×4 in Schools), inspiring students of all levels in STE(A)M Education, and on EU funded programs related to STEM Education, ICT solutions for Education, Technical and Vocational Education and Training.
Since 2012 Dimitris has been the In-Country Coordinator (ICC) and Organizer of the international STEM Racing (Formerly F1 in Schools) and 4×4 in Schools competitions in both Greece and Cyprus, having the pleasure of seeing two Greek teams World Champions at the World Finals of F1 in Schools in 2016 and the 4×4 in Schools in 2019.
He is the founder of the non-profit organisation “Shaping 21stc-Skills in Schools, Astiki Mi Kerdoskopiki Etaireia (SHAPE)”, an experienced partner offering non formal education programs in Greece & Cyprus, such as the global STEM Racing (Formerly F1 in Schools) competition that foster innovation, STEM learning with entrepreneurial mind-set, 21st century soft skills for students, plus digital skills and Life/Career skills.
