Dr Andriani Piki is an Assistant Professor in Computing at UCLan Cyprus and an experienced researcher in Educational Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, and User Experience Design. She holds a PhD in Educational Technology from Royal Holloway University of London, UK.
She is passionate with Technology and Education and the ways these two worlds are interconnected, including designing new applications, such as educational games, and exploring the impact of AI in education. In her research and teaching practice she focuses on human factors, including the aspects affecting learner engagement, the role of employability skills, and the importance of accessibility and inclusion. She is a mentor in various interdisciplinary programmes including 1st UN Citiverse Challenge and BridgeSTEAM programme, empowering young learners to explore the world of computing and emerging technologies. She is an advocate of women and girls in computing, a professional ACM and Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) member, coordinating member of CCS-Women, and elected Treasurer for the Cyprus ACM-W Cyprus Chapter.
