Dougie is the owner of Red Bus Movies and a RAF Veteran. He has been working in film and television since 2005, initially as a screenwriter and most recently as a producer with some experience in directing.
Credits to date include the multi-award winning feature, Green Street, the award winning feature, Top Dog (which Dougie adapted from my own novel) and the award winning feature, We Still Kill The Old Way.
In 2021 Dougie formed Red Bus Movies, primarily to develop his own projects, and are currently heading for production on projects in both the UK and Australia.
One of Dougie’s ongoing ambitions is to provide opportunities for service leavers looking to transition from military service into the film and television industry. To that end, Dougie completed the first BFBS Academy Production Managers course to develop both his own production management skills and gain hands on experience of other production roles. This excellent course fulfilled both those needs and equipped him with a far greater understanding of the nuts and bolts of production. Something which has served Dougie well as he moves some of Red Bus Movies own projects into production.
