Anastasia Andritsou is Director British Council Greece and Cyprus, overseeing the strategy execution and operation in both countries. She has over 20 years’ experience in education reforms, management of technical assistance programmes, senior stakeholder engagement, business development in the non-for-profit sector and business transformation.
Anastasia has contributed to the education and cultural policy agenda in the European region and strengthened the strategic collaboration between the UK, Greece and Cyprus through innovative programmes in arts, education and the English language. She has developed an innovative and forward-thinking skills agenda for youth and underprivileged communities as well as a major science programmes for general audiences and schools delivering nationally wide impact. She has led on a number of strategic initiatives that facilitate the creation of new institutional links in higher education and further growth for the UK Transnational Education in Europe.
Anastasia has participated in high impact forums, ministerial events and international conferences with strategic stakeholders from governments and the corporate sector. Throughout her career she has delivered major organisational change plans ensuring efficiency and growth for the organisation. She studied Electrical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, holds a master’s degree from the Polytechnic School of Toulouse in France and an Executive MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
